The Atlantic was in Los Angeles to explore the changing narrative of race and identity in this country. In our second annual Race + Justice summit we convened civic leaders, activists, artists, policymakers and storymakers for a day of unflinching conversation. The summit unfolded in multiple chapters, as we try to answer the questions: Who is California? Where is Home? What is Justice? and Whose Story Gets Told?

Project Empathy VR wins excellence award at Digital Hollywood

Project Empathy will be honored at Digital Hollywood in Los Angeles for Excellence in VR.

Digital Hollywood -- a conference which brings together cutting edge storytellers in Hollywood with bleeding edge technology -- will happen in Los Angeles on October 18 - 21, 2016 at the Skirball Center.

During Digital Hollywood, the Project Empathy team will also speak on a special panel called The AR + VR Think Tank: A Creative Visionary Presentation on Wednesday, October 19th.

Project Empathy goes to the Democratic National Convention

In Project Empathy's debut of its VR films, the first VR piece will be on display at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia this week (beginning July 25th).

The VR experience can been seen at the #cut50 / Dream Corps booth. The VR experience allows you to sit with Shaka Senghor in his Detroit home as he traces his own experiences in prison in Michigan for 19 years, spending much of his time in solitary confinement.
